On of the rarer trains to see in Minneapolis is Union Pacific's MIR Job! This interesting operation runs on the former Minnesota Western Railway, and can be tough to capture. This local runs a few days a week, and rates older EMD power. Treat yourself to a clean SD60/SD62, SD40Ns, geeps, and more, running on this cool piece of track!
Running only three or so days a week, this train can be a challenge to find while trackside. We'll chase this train west out of Minneapolis, as it hauls cars to the end of the line, in Plymouth. Along the way we'll see the train in snow, sun, clouds, and some cool scenes. Lots of classic EMDs, smoke, and sights to be seen in the MIR Local!
