Lets see some urban railroading in Minneapolis, MN! This former Milwaukee Road route, known as the Hiawatha Line, is currently operated by The Minnesota Commercial Railway, and see's trains as needed. Once a bustling, busy route, which saw large freight and passenger trains, its a ghost of its former self with MASSIVE grain elevators along the tracks. You'll see some rare switch moves take place, and some smoking from an old school switcher!
In this video, we'll see some rare action on this sleepy line in South Minneapolis. We'll begin by watching a seldomly seen SW1 working, and kicking on some smoke! Hiawatha Job as it makes its way over to ADM and an extra storage move. This once busy route, only see's trains as needed, an extras as called upon. Along the way, we can see how the route is slowly fading away, and new buildings taking its place. Power for these trains is MNNR 51, a former Southern Pacific B30-7, and ILSX 1359, a rare and OLD EMD SW1.
