As the morning went by, the two remaining Chicks stopped attempting to fledge. Instead, when Dad brought back a fresh rodent treat, one of the chicks kept it all for itself. It was amusing to watch how possessive it was, even body-blocking its sibling, in an attempt to discourage the latter from joining in the feast.
Meanwhile the first fledgling continued perching alone on the tree where it had landed on its maiden flight. It looked a little lost and bewildered. There were no further attempts to fly.
Nicknamed Singapore's Bald Eagle, the Brahminy Kite is a medium sized raptor of about 45-50cm.
