Flying around the mangroves was this female juvenile Black Sunbird. It sports very distinctive black moustachial stripes, but otherwise resemble its adult female counterpart.
The male juvenile was spotted only very briefly.
The Black Sunbird is an inhabitant of lowland forests, including mangroves. They can also be found in cultivated areas & gardens.
Besides Sulawesi, the Black Sunbird is also found in New Guinea.
