I was delighted to meet a Sooty-headed Bulbul who appeared to be an enthusiastic singer. Calling repeatedly while occasionally breaking into a little tune at the end of a syllable, it was simultaneously flicking its tail and flapping its wings while vocalising.
Sooty-headed Bulbuls are well- known songbirds.
This is subspecies aurigaster, found in Sulawesi.
