This Sunday Brush Cuckoo chick had just fledged. It remained relatively immobile while stretching its wings every so often. It was observed flying short distances while calling at intervals, as if alerting its host parents to its location.
Formerly referred to as 'Rusty breasted Cuckoo' & considered conspecific with the Sulawesi brush cuckoo, it has now attained full species status.
