A dark track in the spirit of 'The Occultist,' written for the RetributioN Trilogy by Doom_RO.
We have now reached the second half of the 2016 work. After this there are 7 more to go.
To be honest, I feel this is one of my weakest tracks from 2016, the first two minutes are quite poor in my opinion. When I looked back to the original video I read in the description I had been struggling for inspiration with this piece, and I do think it shows. So I wasn't really looking forward to remaking this, but I do think it's gained a lot here, the mix of the original in hindsight is actually very poor, heh.
It was pleasantly easy to remake this, with the only recorded instrument being the bass - with the 5th string tuned down to A this time. Elsewhere in the song, I've been provided with an excuse to reuse my Hammond + Church organ combo from Hell's Furnace, I love that sound so much :)
Pictures for the video are hard to come by in this style... Quite a few are from Doom 2016, heh.
