Another one of my uni assignments, this piece was made with Reason and its built-in plugins. The assignment was basically a limitation challenge as each plugin could only be used once.
The general idea for the piece was brought about by the moonlit nights of autumn last year, but I didn't get around to starting the track until December, by which time I had only 2 weeks left to do everything on it - so I played it fairly safe, this track follows a style that's a bit of a throwback to some of my older material, i.e Atmosphere, Beneath the Stars.
With that in mind, I figured it would also make for a nice MIDI file, and with the lack of audio tracks in the piece, I exported the MIDI, which took a bit of cleaning up, but turned out quite nicely :)
It's since struck me that this was my last piece of the 2010s, the decade where I made my start with music. The decade I went into at age 12 and have now left at 22, with all the typical Major Life Changes and events. It feels strange in a way for me that this is the last piece from that decade. There's nothing especially noteworthy about it when I think about it amongst the rest of my catalogue, it's just a short, chilled-out piece.
