Track 1 from "The Origin: Music from Eviternity II".
Thank you so much once again for the love you've shown this album! I'm trying to juggle a lot of stuff, so apologies if things are slightly on the slower side. These music videos will probably just be uploaded as I complete each one, and the WAD version of the album will still come eventually, but making non-MIDIs loop is a little time consuming in itself. Anyway...
I felt the album needed an intro track because it didn't feel right to open with "The Infinite Labyrinth," a very quiet track that's already been released years ago. My idea for what the intro should be changed quite a bit but as the album neared completion I found a bunch of old sound recordings I made and turned them into a rainy soundscape, perhaps the side of a lake in a forest as a storm menacingly approaches? It represents the withering of the majestic realm depicted in Eviternity 1's final chapter, as it darkens and decays to become the bleak wilderness of Eviternity 2's first.
The track sets up the "Origin" theme, which comes back a couple times, as well as putting the Juno pad front and centre, which I first used in the intro for the title track itself, in Eviternity 2 MAP30, and then continued to scatter throughout many tracks on the album to tie it all together. I only spent 2 or 3 hours on this piece, but I'm so happy with it.
