An alternative version of CPU, this time in an electronic style.
So as explained last time, CPU was written for my game audio assignment in second year of uni. My plan was to do two versions of the same track and when the player switched between the two areas in the game, the music would seamlessly transition to the other arrangement, but I never got this working as intended sadly.
This version is slightly slower and while preparing the track for this upload I cut a section out near the start since I felt it dragged a bit too much. Overall I wanted to polish a few things because unlike Type-M, a lot of this one was cobbled together at the last minute.
For example, the deadline for this assignment was 10am, March 20th. That synth solo at the end was recorded by an extremely tired Tristan at 6am on that day, having worked on the track all night as well as making tweaks to all the sound effects and dialogue that I also did for the game. What a night!
I was on the fence about whether I'd put this version up, but I figured with some tweaks it'd be fine, plus I felt like putting something out on my birthday and I don't have anything else I can release right now :P
So, I hope you like this version of CPU, which version do you prefer?
Thanks always for listening, and I'll see you all whenever the Raven MIDI Pack comes out, I guess!
