On this show called Israel Peter continues on St. Paul's theme that instead of using our tongue for filthiness, silly talk and eutrapalia (jesting) we should use it for eucharistia (thanksgiving). Giving of thanks is one of the main sacrifices that God requires of His children. Hebrews 13: 15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. The training of the tongue should begin by the parents over their children because as proverbs 22:15 says: "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him." Foolishness is a grave sin according to Jesus: Mark 7: 20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, FOOLISHNESS:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Instead parents are supposed to make disciples of Christ from their children "bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." letting the Word of Christ richly dwell within them. But more than that, as Joseph trained Jesus so Jesus could leave home and talk intelligently with the elders of the Jewish Temple by the age of 12, so fathers today should aim for such a thing. Joseph had obeyed the Word of God and raised Jesus with much knowledge of God's Word. The Jewish elders and his parents were both amazed at His learning: Luke 2:47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. 48 And when they (Joseph and Mary) saw him, they were amazed..."
