Peter Helland repeats his general theme about how the leaven of Herod or the doctrines of the American Experiment have penetrated into the Church. The fundamental doctrine of America is located in Lincoln's words in the Gettysburg address: We are "dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal." This has been interpreted to mean that same sex marriage should be allowed plus a multitude of other abominations. The church then is pressured to conform. Yet God commands in His Word that we are not to be conformed to this world. Nevertheless the church capitulated and in 1965 the Catholic Church suddenly put up the white flag of surrender and let the women decide if they personally wanted to wear the biblically required headcovering, a church requirement for 1930 years or so. Not surprisingly about 99% (it seems) of all the women in the American Catholic church suddenly refused to wear their headcovering anymore.
