Peter Helland and Pastor Mario Sims discuss the importance of realizing that probably over half the Church during the time of Paul's writings were slaves and probably over half the Church were women. And Saint Paul taught that it was blasphemous for a slave or a wife not to obey their master. And the obvious reason was Paul was mostly concerned about false teachers relaxing the very strong commandments for both wives and slaves to obey their master as unto Christ. Anything less than that would probably not prevent rebellion from getting into the ranks of women and slaves. And what has happened in America is that total rebellion did go into the ranks of the slaves and has gotten into the ranks of women in America. There is no respect for the Word of God in America from people saying they are Christian as far as upholding the teaching that wives are to fear their husbands and obey them as unto Christ likewise as slaves are required to fear their master and obey them as unto Christ. Very few preachers will uphold this absolutely necessary teaching. Saint Paul is so concerned about this matter that he commands that we are to withdraw from people who will not uphold this teaching. This rebellion among the so called Christian women of America to refuse to obey their husbands as unto Christ reminds one of 1 Samuel 15:23, "for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft; and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry."
