Ten years after they first graced the Hot-100 with “Hold The Line” in 1978, Toto were still putting out great recordings. “Straight From The Heart” was a track from their album, “The Seventh One”. However, the album, which charted at #64, produced only one hit single, the #22 charting, “Pamela”. It was their last entry in the Hot-100.
Co-writer, Joseph Williams (son of film composer, John Williams) took over the lead vocal duties for the band after they let Fergie Frederiksen go in 1985. Joseph left the band after the “Seventh One” album.
It’s sad to note that we have lost two of the Porcaro brothers – Jeff passed in 1992 and Mike in 2015.

The group have followed with many hit singles and albums but more so in the UK than the US.")
