Rockwell’s real name was Kennedy William Gordy and he was the son of Motown Records’ owner, Berry Gordy.
Rockwell had a short lived chart career but he scored big with the a-side, a vocal version of “Somebody’s Watching Me” (with Michael and Jermaine Jackson helping out), which went to #2 in the US and #6 in the UK.
The album with the same title sold well too; reaching # 15 in the US and #52 in the UK.
