This album was the first under the group’s name since a self-titled one had been released on Haven in 1975. Prior to that the group had logged eight hit albums and over two dozen hit singles.
Neither the “Powers Of The Night” album nor the 45 from it, “She Don’t Know Me” charted but Bon Jovi recorded the latter in 1984 and their version made it to #48 on the Hot-100.
Sadly, we lost Rob Grill, the long-time Grass Roots’ lead singer in July, 2011.

Hailing from Norway, the group debuted on record in 1884 with the original version of “Take On Me”, which only charted in Norway. This re-recording, produced by Alan Tarney, followed in 1985 and did the trick It was #1 in the US, Australia and Germany and #2 in the UK.
The group have followed with many hit singles and albums but more so in the UK than the US.")
