From a 12 inch record that MCA released with three other version of this #2 US hit (UK #30) From Elton John. It was Elton’s 46th entry on the Hot-100. The associated album, “Reg Strikes Back” reached #16 in the US and #18 in the UK. It was his 29th album to enter the US charts when released there in the summer of 1988.
Producer, Chris Thomas, began his career with George Martin in the late 60s. As well as Elton John, Chris went on to work with Roxy Music, the Sex Pistols, Inxs and the Human League.
