This album was the first under the group’s name since a self-titled one released on Haven in 1975. Prior to that the group had logged eight hit albums and over two dozen hit singles.
Neither the “Powers Of The Night” album nor the 45 from it, “She Don’t Know Me” charted but Bon Jovi recorded the latter in 1984 and their version made it to #48 on the Hot-100.
Co-writer John Bettis has an extensive resumé. He wrote a number of hits for the Carpenters, including “Yesterday Once More” and “Top Of The World”.
Sadly, we lost Rob Grill in July, 2011.
