Next week is the long awaited release of Poppy Playtime chapter 5 and in order to get in the mood I wanted to record some Mascot Horror games again. Today we take a look at Toony's Daycare. This is a game that first was released in chapters and then the full release is available on Steam.
We play as a guy with a very deep voice who goes to a daycare that hides some dark secrets. We will face against various mascots, monsters and other creatures and have to solve puzzles in order to get out alive.
The gameplay is actually quite varied as you have environmental puzzles, chase sequences, boss battles and even parkour and platform sections.
This keeps you guessing on what you have to do next and I thought that was great.
There is room for improvement in the form of making the controls a bit more responsive and adding some more atmosphere in the locations by having more artwork on the walls etc. But all in all it is a solid game and hope to see more from these developers in the future.
