Today we are archiving the scariest game of 2026 so far in the form of Psalm 2. The premise is very simple, but also very effective. We head into a mysterious elevator and head to nine different floors. On each floor we need to explore and find an entity that can take the shape in many forms and focus our gaze at it. When it vanishes from our view, we can head back to the elevator and head to the next floor.
Each floor becomes more complex with different puzzles to solve. The game was incredibly scary and has by far the most effective jumpscare of 2026 so far. I do have to say that some of the jumpscares are kind of cheap, but the atmosphere is so heavy and terrifying that it gets away with it.
You often see something hide behind a corner right before you get a good look at it and it results in you getting creeped out. The game is short and sweet and an absolute must play for horror fans.
