Let's review each episode of the cult classic Viva Pinata TV series based on the hit game in (mostly)under 90 seconds!

Transcript:

In To Catch a Pester, the pinatas have finally had it up to here with his constant scheming, thus straight up arrest Pester and put him away. Only to find they're not very good at the whole incarceration bit. Yeah, the pinatas set up a trap for Pester, book him on multiple counts of what I'm assuming is attempted pinatacide, and place him in a giant cage made specifically for this instance. I don't know why they forked out for a giant cage, since we saw in Candibalism they have a jail cell for things like this, but I'm pretty sure the continuity supervisor for this show was Ella. But it turns out the pinatas are just too nice to handle dealing with a prisoner, and Pester quickly becomes their guest of honor, mooching anything he wants out of them, and draining the island's budget dry. I should be calling BS, because we've seen time and time again just how much of an a-hole these pinatas can be and how quickly they can get riled up. But I guess because Pester's not a pinata, they're confused how they're supposed to treat him? Maybe? That's my best justification for something that doesn't need justification. But it of course results in Pester being given Norwegian-levels of prisoner pampering, and refusing to leave, even when his minions try to spring him out. Leading to one of the best gags in the entire show, where the pinatas decide the best way to get him out is to organize a jailbreak using the ventilation system. And when it's pointed out he doesn't have one, well, they just go ahead and build one! That is so stupid, it circles back around to being hilariously genius. But even that hits a snag, and in the end, the only solution is the time honored tradition of credit defaulting. This was really funny. It's another plot that requires everyone to be an idiot, but they're clearly focusing more on humor than sense for this one, which they massively succeeded in. And somebody clearly had too much fun animating Mabel Moozipan.
