We were stuck. We raised the frame, but those heavy timber trusses were just too high and too heavy for our original plan. Today, we’re back on the timber frame build with a new piece of equipment and a crew of good friends ready to get the roof finished.

It took a lot of muscle, some precise tractor work, and a whole lot of community to get this done.
The Equipment Solution: We show you how we finally found a way to safely lift these massive trusses to the top of the frame.

What started as a setback turned into one of the most rewarding days we’ve had on the farm.
In our last timber frame build video, we got the structure raised—but we hit a wall. The trusses were just too big, too heavy, and we didn’t have the equipment to finish the job.
Today, that changes.
With the help of good friends (and the right equipment), we:
Build and assemble timber frame trusses
Lift and set them into place
Secure everything the old-fashioned way
Take another big step toward finishing our on-farm store
This wasn’t just about construction—it was about community, hard work, and learning together.
