It’s another full, busy day on the farm as we transition from peak summer harvest into fall prep! Today on Sheraton Park Farms, Chuck starts in the garden picking fresh tomatoes and peppers for winter preservation before having to pause chores to load up a piece of equipment sold on Facebook Marketplace.
From there, we take you over to the homestead build site for a look at the latest progress on the open-span timber frame building where Kurt and Chuck are getting the roof framed and installed. Then, it's back to the garden to chop down the sweet corn patch—while talking about why this has been the worst year on record for stinging insects, wasps, and farm pests.
