We are officially changing the landscape of Sheraton Park Farms. Today, we’re breaking new ground to make room for our biggest garden expansion yet—turning old sod into a future of corn, sorghum, and fruit trees.
We’re officially breaking new ground here at Sheraton Park Farms—and this is a big step toward growing more of our own food.
This project is going to change how we use this land moving forward.
In today’s vlog, we are taking a major step forward in our regenerative agriculture journey. We’ve been planning this expansion for a long time, and it’s finally time to get the equipment out and start the work. We walk you through the entire layout of the new area, including our plans for permanent fencing and a massive new crop area for beans, potatoes, corn, and sorghum.
You’ll see the process of hooking up the plow to the tractor and the satisfying (and sometimes difficult) work of breaking new ground for the first time. We also run the roto-tiller through to break up the heavy clods and prepare the soil for our future orchard and berry bushes. Whether you are here for the tractor work, the gardening tips, or just to follow along with the growth of our rural homestead, we’re glad to have you with us as we change the face of the farm.
Today on the farm, we’re taking a major step forward by breaking new ground to expand our growing space here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
This isn’t just another project—this is part of a bigger plan to grow more of our own food and make better use of the land we’ve been blessed with.
