Supplies:
Tim Holtz Distress®:
-Archival Ink Pads: Black Soot
-Paint: Picket Fence
-Spray Stain: Hickory Smoke, Tea Dye, Pumice Stone, Antique Linen
-Watercolor Pencils: Hickory Smoke, Antique Linen
-Distress Mica Stain: Unravelled, Frozen Fog
-Oxide Spray: Antique Linen, Black Soot
-Watercolor Cardstock
-Sprayer
-Mixed Media Heavystock #8 Tags
-Collage Medium Matte
-Texture Paste Black Opaque
-Foundry Wax: Gilded

Instructions:
-Choose a Palette paper for the background.
-Tear a few pieces from the paper + use them to cover tag.
-Adhere paper with Gel Medium.Trim off excess around edges.
-Add pieces of Collage Paper + Collage Tape to fill in any white spaces.
-Water down White Distress Paint + brush it over background.
-While paint is still wet, use a baby wipe or damp cloth to remove some of the excess. Let dry.
-Apply Black Texture Paste through a stencil. Set tag aside + let paste dry completely.
-Using Watercolor cardstock, choose a light Distress Oxide Spray (I used Antique Linen). Spritz it a couple of times onto cardstock, then activate the color with a few spritzes of water. Let dry.
-Stamp focal image using Black Soot.
-Use Distress Spray Stains to color image.
-Dry thoroughly. Use coordinating Distress Watercolor Pencils to add shading + definition.
-Cut out focal image + darken the edges.
-Go back to the tag + use the same colors from focal image to add color on background.
-Use Foundry Wax to highlight raised areas of the black texture. Heat it to activate + bring out the metallic shine.
-Add focal image to tag. Add black wire to create antennas.
-Use Distress Mica Stain to add highlights.
-Add a small embellishment cluster + ribbon.
