It’s time for project in the fabulous @artofdinawakley MEdia Black Journal, watch as Claire- @artjournallove shows us that you really can work on the burlap just like you would any other page in your art journal, using some of the lovely latest release goodies.📓
Supplies:
Dina Wakley MEdia:
-Gloss: Turquoise, Mustard, Fuchsia
-Paint: Orchid, Turquoise, Stoked, Black, White
-Gel Medium
- Stamp Set: Block Alphas
-Rub Ons: On Their Mind
-Collage Paper: Bold
-Chroma Transparency: Painted Elements
-Stencils: Feel Your Magic, Coaster- Rattan, Groovy
-Glue
Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tools with Foam
Instructions:
-Working in the black journal find a burlap page.
-Pop a piece of paper behind and add some Gloss in the colours Turquoise, Fuchsia and Mustard.
-Cut about 2” from the right-hand side of the burlap page.
-Use the Groovy Coaster stencil and some Orchid Paint and add some stencilling.
-Using Rattan stencil and Turquoise add some more stencilling overlapping with the first stencilling.
-Add some word stencilling in White using the Feel Your Magic stencil.
-Choose a piece of the Chroma Transparency and cut two squares that are about 3’ square and add some of the rub on to both pieces. The faces work well.
-Add them to the edge of the cut burlap page using glue and a tiny attacher.
-Using some of the rub ons with words on add some words onto the burlap too, and then add a thin layer of Gel Medium over the top to seal it and help it stay put.
-Stick a piece of Collage Paper-Bold onto white printer paper and paint with Stoked and when dry cut out three hearts and stick them onto the page using DWM glue.
-Stamp out the words onto white card using the Block Alphas stamps and stick them on the page.
-Add some black semi circles in three places around the edges of the pages.
