Throttle hold function is to set the throttle output to a fixed value. When the throttle hold is turned on, the throttle output will jump to the locked position regardless of the current throttle position.
Long press Mode button to enter the Basic MENU. Press it again to enter the Advance menu--THR-HOLD.
Here is setting menu of throttle hold function.
Set the MIX from INH to OFF.
SW here means switch. We need to set a switch to control throttle hold. SWA to SWH can be selected.
I select SWD, a 2 position switch here to control it.
The position is the position of the switch. I select UP, which means when SWD is pushed up, the throttle hold function is turned on. When SWD is pushed down, the throttle hold function is turned off.
Push SWD, we can see ON/OFF here. It is to show the current status of the throttle hold function.
Mode. There are two modes for throttle hold function. One is to RATE. The other one is Throttle.
Let’s check the first mode. RATE. The rate can be set from 0 to 100%, which means the whole throttle travel from -100 to +100. That is to say, 50% means the throttle is at 0 point. I set it to 50% to show it.
The value in parentheses refers to the current throttle value. We can see the current throttle is ~~~.
Turn on the throttle-hold, the current throttle value in parentheses will be fixed at 50%, the value I set here. The throttle stick does not work now.
Turn it off. Go to servo display.
The throttle works well, and there is no throttle hold function.
Push SWD UP, the throttle jumps to 0 point directly, no matter what position the throttle stick is in.
Push SWD down, the throttle hold function is turned off. The throttle stick works normally.
Then I set another value, such as 75% to show it.
Go to servo display.
SWD is pushed down, the throttle works well, and there is no throttle hold function.
Push SWD UP, the throttle jumps to 50 directly, no matter what position the throttle stick is in.
Push SWD down, the throttle hold function is turned off. The throttle stick works normally.
By the way, if you want the throttle to work in the opposition direction, you can set the rate to 25%, which is in the opposite direction to 75%.
Then let’s check the second mode, THROTTLE mode.
In throttle mode, when throttle hold function is turned on, the throttle will be fixed at its current position.
The Throttle here is to show the current position of the throttle joystick. No need to set it.
The value in parentheses refers to the current throttle value. We can see the current throttle is ~~~.
Turn on the throttle-hold, the current throttle value in parentheses will be fixed at ~~~, the last position of the throttle joystick. The position changing of the throttle stick does not affect the current throttle value.
Turn it off. Go to servo display.
SWD is pushed down, the throttle works well. The current throttle is at ~~~. If I want to keep the throttle at this point, I just need to push SWD up to turn on the throttle hold function. The throttle will be fixed at ~~~, no matter how I move the joystick.
Push SWD down, the throttle hold function is turned off. The throttle stick works normally.
