For episode 5 of the series, I’m in Fremont, Ohio, at Jimmy G’s taking on their “Lil Giant” BBQ Burger Challenge!
Jimmy G's is a locally owned BBQ restaurant specializing in scratch-made, low-and-slow barbecue. Their meats are smoked using indirect heat and locally sourced fruitwoods, while their brines, rubs, sauces, and sides are made in-house. The menu features BBQ classics like pulled pork, brisket, smoked chicken, wings, and St. Louis-style ribs, along with creative specialty sandwiches and their signature brisket-blended burgers. Jimmy G’s also operates a food truck and offers catering for weddings, parties, and other events!
The “Lil Giant” Challenge features a giant burger built on a sourdough loaf and loaded with six B2 burger patties, six slices of cheese, six slices of bacon, 1 pound of pulled pork, lettuce, tomatoes, and Sweet Savannah sauce. Along with the burger, you’ll also have to finish a side of fries. If you can get everything down within 30 minutes as a team, you’ll get the $35 meal for free, a T-shirt, and a photo on their Wall of Fame! If you decide to take on the challenge solo, all the same rules and prizes apply, except you’ll have a full hour to finish it.
