In today's episode I'm in Louisville, Kentucky heading to Week-End Burgers for their 25-Patty 5x5x5 Smash burger Food Challenge!
Week-End Burgers was established in 2018 as a food truck, quickly becoming a local favorite before moving into its current Louisville restaurant in 2021. Known for its fresh, made-to-order food and friendly service, the restaurant serves a wide variety of menu items including burgers, grilled and fried chicken sandwiches, cheesesteaks, wings, hot dogs, fresh-cut fries, onion rings, and hand-spun milkshakes. With something for everyone, Week-End Burgers has earned a reputation as one of Louisville’s go-to spots for a great meal.
The 5x5x5 Smash Burger Challenge features five, 5-patty cheeseburgers for a total of 25 smash burger patties and 25 slices of cheese. Each burger had lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and their secret sauce. If you can finish all five burgers within 30 minutes, you’ll earn the $75 meal free, a T-shirt, a $25 gift card, and a spot on Week-End Burgers’ Wall of Fame.
Just to note: After every 7–10 attempts, it “graduates” and gets bigger. Once enough people have taken on the 5x5x5 challenge, it will evolve into a 6x6x5 challenge featuring five 6-patty cheeseburgers.
