For my first episode in the state of Pennsylvania, I’m in the town of Pottstown at the well-known Pudge’s Steaks & Hoagies, to face-off against their famous Cheesesteak Challenge! Known for serving classic Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks and hoagies, Pudge’s is part of a long-standing Pennsylvania brand with decades of sandwich tradition. The restaurant has earned a strong reputation for its thin-sliced ribeye, freshly baked rolls, and no-frills atmosphere focused on quality comfort food. A favorite among both locals and visiting food challengers, Pudge’s is especially known for its massive cheesesteaks and hearty sides, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to experience authentic Philly-area sandwich culture just outside Philadelphia.
Pudge’s Cheesesteak Challenge features a massive 2-foot-long ribeye cheesesteak with your choice of cheese, served alongside five orders of thick-cut fries and a large fountain drink, totaling roughly 8–10 pounds of food. Finish everything within 30 minutes to win the $60 meal free, a T-shirt, and the progressive cash jackpot which stood at $100 during my visit. The jackpot starts at $100 and increases every time someone fails the challenge.
