A fascinating study in Nature Medicine uncovered that berberine lowers LDL and ApoB through a mechanism totally different from statins — by extending the lifespan of the mRNA blueprints your liver uses to build LDL receptors.
This isn’t about blocking cholesterol synthesis.
This doesn’t harm mitochondria or raising blood sugar or slash GLP-1 (like statins).
It’s about boosting LDL receptor production by taking the instructions coding for these receptors and making them last three-times longer!
If you want the mechanisms, limitations, and what this means for LDL, ApoB, and metabolic health, check the link in the description.

![Can Fiber Damage Your Liver?

We’re told fiber is always good—but that’s not the full story. A landmark randomized controlled trial from Stanford tested different fiber types and found that one common fiber, when taken at high doses, significantly increased ALT, a marker of liver injury, in a subset of people. The effect was large enough that researchers stopped the study early for safety concerns.
At lower doses, the same fiber may improve insulin sensitivity and reduce fatty liver, highlighting a key takeaway in nutrition science: dose and individual response matter. This isn’t about fear—it’s about context over dogma.
