Today I face off against Broken Yolk Cafe's "BYC" Breakfast Platter Challenge with MASSIVE biscuits.
Happy New Year everyone, and welcome to the first episode of 2026! Today we’re in Meridian, Idaho, at Broken Yolk Café, a popular breakfast and brunch restaurant with over 40 locations across the United States. Most are on the West Coast, especially in California, with additional spots in Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and Idaho. Known for its huge portions, tasty omelets, hearty breakfast platters, and indulgent brunch favorites, Broken Yolk serves up classic comfort food in a casual, welcoming atmosphere, making it a must-visit for anyone who loves big, flavorful morning meals.
The BYC Challenge at Broken Yolk Café features a massive breakfast platter that includes a 12-egg omelet filled with mushrooms, onions, and cheese, then smothered in chili and even more cheese on top. Alongside the omelet, you get over a pound of home fries and two very large biscuits. You have one hour to finish everything to get the $43 meal free, a T-shirt, and photo on their Wall of Fame.
