In the first episode of my Wisconsin trip, I’m just south of Milwaukee in the town of Franklin, taking on Mulligan’s Irish Pub’s massive 8–10 pound Shepherd’s Pie Challenge! Mulligan’s is known for its authentic Irish-American comfort food, lively atmosphere, and strong local following. The pub serves classic dishes like shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, and award-winning Irish stew, along with a wide selection of Irish whiskeys and draft beers. It’s also a popular spot for sports fans with over 20 TVs, plus weekly events like trivia nights and a famous Friday fish fry. Mulligan’s has built a reputation as one of the top Irish pubs in the Milwaukee area.

The Shepherd’s Pie Challenge features four of their signature pies stacked into one massive dish, loaded with seasoned ground beef, aged cheddar, parsnips, peas, carrots, celery, colcannon mashed potatoes, and rich Guinness gravy. It’s also served with four slices of Irish stout marble rye bread on the side. You’ll have 45 minutes to finish everything, if you do, you’ll get the $75 meal free, a t-shirt, a $75 gift card, and a spot on their Wall of Fame!
