STORY:
Captain Vaider (Hassan) led an expedition to create the first colony in America, choosing the island of Roanoke. Once there, he realized the horror in how there were not enough supplies to last the few years of building their village. So he set off to England to get said supplies, leaving his translator, Triston (Dimitri), and his wife, Ryah (Jane P), behind. However, the journey ended up lasting longer than expected. What was supposed to be at most a year long journey, took him three years before he finally got the supplies and was ready to head back to the colony. He was accompanied by various people. Children, parents, explorers, possibly even people who had secrets of their own, all looking to join him and live in Roanoke themselves as he would make his way back. The crew embark on their journey, but would be held back by an unexpected storm.
Meanwhile on the island, a little girl (Cornelia/Jane Darling) runs through the woods, seemingly coming across an empty area. An area that should’ve been preoccupied by the colonists who arrived three years prior….
AUDITION:
For your audition, you must show your character’s personality and backstory. Your character is traveling to Roanoke after the first expedition from three years ago, so you should show what reason that is. Your character will meet Vaider on the ship and you will have to introduce yourself to him. At the end, your audition will have the ship get attacked by a storm and your character is obligated to react to it.
So as a rundown you must show:
-Your character’s personality and backstory
-Their reasoning for going to Roanoke
-Introducing your character to Vaider
-The storm on the ship
RULES:
-This is a RolePlay through a video format, so your audition (plus your rounds if you get in) must be a crossover edited video.
-2D Animation only
-Your character can be of any age
-Your character can be female or male
-Only Non/Disney characters allowed (but backgrounds/props from other sources are acceptable!)
-Your character must be human
-You’re allowed to borrow some masks, but remember that the majority should be your own!
-You will have two weeks to complete your audition video. If you ask for an extension, I will grant it, but if you don’t, by the end of your original deadline your character will be up for grabs once more.
-All entries must be submitted here in the comment section
ABOUT THE CONTEST:
There will be 11 chosen contestants and 5 rounds. Two people will be eliminated each round, so in the story universe something will happen to your character. This means that at the end, three people will be left. You will have a month to edit each round (possibly more since i allow extensions). Your round will be judged through points (1/10 system). The points will be added up and the contestants with the least amount will be eliminated. The judges are looking for creative manips, masks, coloring, but most importantly - story. Story will be a key element in this RP, as your character’s choices will have an impact in the events in the following round. We desire intriguing characters and backstories to go along with your skills as an editor.
The judges will judge every round through the point system, but each round you will get a comment from a different judge about her own personal likings and criticisms of your video (EX: I will comment on all of the auditions, but Kiandra might comment on all of the R1 video entries). Each judge critiques a video on her own personal tastes and what she herself likes to focus on. One judge might be more critical with story, but another could be more critical with masks and editing.

Recently I’ve come to realization that my fellow contestants might not have 100% access to me, or maybe even not realize a few things that I thought I made clear. I can see that I didn’t and that’s my fault, not yours. So! Lemme take a bit of your time to explain somethings, because I never wanna come across as unfair, biased, subjective, none of that. I want this to be a fun and entertaining contest! I want you guys to feel like you’re creating a story, not competing. Ok so let’s get into it.
1.) Extensions are accepted! I’ll gladly give them to you, because I wouldn’t want anyone to feel stressed or pressured to get it done. I also know that this is finals seasons and a lot of you are going through the seven layers of hell (I know I am). And time is limitless! If you feel you need an extra two weeks persay, that’s fine by me and my co-hosts!
2.) Me and my co-hosts will gladly give anyone editing/storytelling advice if you really feel like you need it and/or struggling with something. We don’t want to be these GODS THAT YOU MUST BOW DOWN TO. We’ll gladly get more involved and help anyone with plotting, effects, backgrounds, masks, you name it! That being said: Any plotting questions about Megara come to me, BUT plotting questions about John Smith should go to WolfSpirit79 (Olivia). She’s the main writer for him, and has a better grip on his personality than I do XD.

Most of you are my friends, so you talk to me often anyways. But just because I’m a host now, it doesn’t change anything. All I really want is for everyone to have fun.
If I missed something or didn’t make myself clear or you’re still confused, feel free to tell me! This IS my first time being a host after all. While I give my contestants constructive criticism, I will happily take it in return. I am not the person who believes I’m right 100% of the time. Most of time I can be an idiot and be wrong about things XD. So please don’t be afraid of hurting my feelings or offending me. I have a pretty thick skin and I will look at what you said not as you trying to offend me, but trying to help me be better at a position I’ve never been in before. Thank you for reading!
