I'm baaaacccckkkkkkk. My god editing has been a long and troubling journey this summer. For those who don't know, I took a summer intensive on entertainment design for a month, and had no time to edit at all. It was absolutely worth it tho, I'm super glad I did the class, but I admit, after drawing straight for four weeks, it's been hard getting back into editing. I have ideas and all, but I had no motivation to open up any of my programs and edit. It wasn't until I was on a call with Faben yesterday did he give me the idea to do another video for his Simplicity Challenge! And I'm honestly super glad I did that because it was what I needed. Nothing super hard and complicated but enough to get me editing.
This was very heavily inspired by the Haunted Mansion, seeing as it's 50th anniversary was yesterday! I love that ride to bits and pieces! Anyways, enjoy!
STORY:
A young woman (Giselle) is married to a young man (Rolfe), and she is later murdered by him for her riches. Years later, Belle, a lady who currently lives in the castle, decides to go exploring and finds Giselle's ghost wondering the halls. The two slowly get to know each other and fall in love.

Hey wow so this came out of nowhere XD. This is for AiraSora’s Say My Name MEP, which is a song from the Beetlejuice musical! (Yes they made a Beetlejuice musical and yes it is amazing)
This MEP part actually comes with a bit of story. I actually had entered this back when it first came out, but I was never really super inspired to edit my part because I wasn’t completely satisfied with the piece of the song I had chosen and I ended up just getting caught up in other things. So I dropped out. Come the start of October, and I start thinking about the MEP again and how I felt kinda bad that I had dropped out. And THEN, LITERALLY A DAY LATER, two parts open back up and ONE OF THEM was one of the parts I originally wanted. Good things apparently CAN happen in 2020.
Also can I just say: Hi, I’m Meg. And I love musicals but editing with them is very hard. This is one of the few times where I’m actually happy with the lip syncing and playing with the visuals of musicals so YAY!
Since I know peeps are gonna ask, the girl I used to portray Lydia is Abba from a movie called Asterix and the Vikings. I don’t totally remember what prompted me to download it? I just know that I did and then when I looked through the animation I was so blown away by how good it was and ultimately I’m pretty surprised this leading lady has never been used in a crossover before. I picked her because she gave off that vibe that Lydia has from her animation. Youthful but still very spunky and aggressive.
Extra side note: Pls listen to the entire Beetlejuice soundtrack it’s amazing and also look up funny moments from the musical on YouTube because it is seriously the funniest shit ever. I watched the movie the day after I saw the musical and man, the musical is such a massive improvement. Not even from just a story and character perspective, but in how fucking HILARIOUS it is. I laughed so hard.

I dont like uploading Halloween stuff after the holiday, but this was a special case since this was a secret MEP with the ROTM folks! Weve had the idea of doing a deaf edit with this song for over a year now and its so cool to see it finally come to be!!! The idea was to pick between two different AUs: Evil AU or Sequel/Villain AU. Evil AU is exactly what it sounds like, our characters but theyre evil actually lol. I honestly have a really hard time changing a characters morals like that and still having it fit their personality, like no matter what I did Oktai just kept feeling like a completely different character and I didnt like it. So I never had any solid ideas for him regarding this AU. The other AU is where decades later, the Return spell is casted again and this time it brings back the villains of our characters past lives. When Sam said we could do this AU for the MEP as well, I JUMPED at the opportunity because I absolutely LOVE writing Cherilyn. She is so wicked and horrible, but I love getting the chance to make that part of her personality shine. And making her a full on magic villain in this was just too fun to pass up!
Naturally being a Return, she needs powers! And I gave her poison touch! Most people dont know this but Cherilyns preferred method of getting rid of a problem was the use of untraceable poisons. So giving her that ability felt fitting to me! This part also shows her manipulation, how she puts on a show of someone who is kind and innocent but is really playing a long game of chess, playing a role that will give her what she wants.
As for the editing itself, Hercules is just a random bystander in this and he had the best footage to convey the reaction I wanted someone to have in response to her powers. And yes with only a week to spare and a whole ass full length Halloween video to make, I did do headswaps because Cherilyn must ALWAYS be in the most elegant gowns. I really wanted to change the colors to red and black but time is my enemy.

My OTP has returned! And for Valentine’s Day no less!
The goal is to make one Sinita video a year at least, but more is always appropriate. Anyways this is Beth’s Oceans Away Bridgerton MEP that I was SEVERELY late for. Like this should’ve been done months ago but Beth was incredibly patient with me and after all that time this has been created!
The MEP’s theme was generally about longing and because nothing really insane was coming to mind, I decide to do literal lyric matching! In which Nita and Sinbad are two royals in a long distance relationship and literally an ocean away from each other. It was an overall cute idea for a fluffy cute part and I really like the outcome! Because I didn’t have a set video made for Valentine’s Day, this seemed like a video as good as any! Enjoy!
Side note: That hug manip was incredibly tedious but absolutely fucking WORTH IT

Happy International Womans Daaaayyyyy! This is for Amanis MEP! I originally didnt want to join this since I didnt know who to pick since my favorite female characters that I would like to edit on this fine day arent Non/Disney characters XD. BUT I caved because the song grew on me and also I like celebrating some badass females.
This one goes to Esmerelda, whos a boss ass bitch for basically fighting the right for the freedom of her people and having all the courage in the world to stand up to the system and say fuck you, fuck you, fuck you. youre cool. and FUCK YOU IM OUT. Ill never get over how she spits in Frollos face. Considering so many people ship super toxic couples where the female character is constantly abused by the male and they think its sexy and the creators are then stupid enough to make it canon (coughReylocough), its refreshing to see a woman just spit in a creeps face. I miss those days. IDK its almost 2am i cant do good analysis right. Shes cool and I love her.")
