And so one says goodbye to a beloved role-play…
That also gave me major PTSD ha haaaaa. But I loved it enough to give a fun Halloween farewell.
I’m not going to go into details of the story, mostly because I’ve told many people by now. But here’s a short version:
During the time of Blood Moon Rising, I went through a lot of emotional abuse and discovered some harsh truths that took a huge toll on my mental state. I was a mess for months and it’s been a major reason why I’ve never bothered to finish round 2 because I couldn’t open up the project without getting a huge wave of anxiety. Now, I had decided to go through with continuing the RP (as the contestants and I created a rather amazing story that I’m super proud of and love to pieces), to the point that I had half of round 3 done, but most of you know that my hard drive got wiped and therefore anything BMR related that I had made for R2 and R3 went poof. After that, it wasn’t worth it to me anymore. I didn’t have to energy or motivation to continue.
However, I love the characters and *ahem* new story way too much to just leave with nothing. So here’s a deleted scene that was originally meant for round 2 but it got replaced with a different nightmare segment and I couldn’t find a way to do it anymore. Which was ashame since I had all this cool imagery involved. And since it’s the month of Halloween and werewolves are my favorite monsters, I decided to give it a go! It’s a fun bonus video of my fave twins (and yes I know Delaney doesn’t have her black hair and blue eyes but I had to make all these Belle masks from scratch and didn’t have the time to do all those color changes because JESUS THEY TAKE SO LONG).
Anyways, to the people who plotted with me and made CM a worthy experience, thank you. Y’all are amazing editors and storytellers and I hope I get to see y’all bring the amazing story we created together to life. Enjoy!

Hey wow so this came out of nowhere XD. This is for AiraSora’s Say My Name MEP, which is a song from the Beetlejuice musical! (Yes they made a Beetlejuice musical and yes it is amazing)
This MEP part actually comes with a bit of story. I actually had entered this back when it first came out, but I was never really super inspired to edit my part because I wasn’t completely satisfied with the piece of the song I had chosen and I ended up just getting caught up in other things. So I dropped out. Come the start of October, and I start thinking about the MEP again and how I felt kinda bad that I had dropped out. And THEN, LITERALLY A DAY LATER, two parts open back up and ONE OF THEM was one of the parts I originally wanted. Good things apparently CAN happen in 2020.
Also can I just say: Hi, I’m Meg. And I love musicals but editing with them is very hard. This is one of the few times where I’m actually happy with the lip syncing and playing with the visuals of musicals so YAY!
Since I know peeps are gonna ask, the girl I used to portray Lydia is Abba from a movie called Asterix and the Vikings. I don’t totally remember what prompted me to download it? I just know that I did and then when I looked through the animation I was so blown away by how good it was and ultimately I’m pretty surprised this leading lady has never been used in a crossover before. I picked her because she gave off that vibe that Lydia has from her animation. Youthful but still very spunky and aggressive.
Extra side note: Pls listen to the entire Beetlejuice soundtrack it’s amazing and also look up funny moments from the musical on YouTube because it is seriously the funniest shit ever. I watched the movie the day after I saw the musical and man, the musical is such a massive improvement. Not even from just a story and character perspective, but in how fucking HILARIOUS it is. I laughed so hard.

I dont like uploading Halloween stuff after the holiday, but this was a special case since this was a secret MEP with the ROTM folks! Weve had the idea of doing a deaf edit with this song for over a year now and its so cool to see it finally come to be!!! The idea was to pick between two different AUs: Evil AU or Sequel/Villain AU. Evil AU is exactly what it sounds like, our characters but theyre evil actually lol. I honestly have a really hard time changing a characters morals like that and still having it fit their personality, like no matter what I did Oktai just kept feeling like a completely different character and I didnt like it. So I never had any solid ideas for him regarding this AU. The other AU is where decades later, the Return spell is casted again and this time it brings back the villains of our characters past lives. When Sam said we could do this AU for the MEP as well, I JUMPED at the opportunity because I absolutely LOVE writing Cherilyn. She is so wicked and horrible, but I love getting the chance to make that part of her personality shine. And making her a full on magic villain in this was just too fun to pass up!
Naturally being a Return, she needs powers! And I gave her poison touch! Most people dont know this but Cherilyns preferred method of getting rid of a problem was the use of untraceable poisons. So giving her that ability felt fitting to me! This part also shows her manipulation, how she puts on a show of someone who is kind and innocent but is really playing a long game of chess, playing a role that will give her what she wants.
As for the editing itself, Hercules is just a random bystander in this and he had the best footage to convey the reaction I wanted someone to have in response to her powers. And yes with only a week to spare and a whole ass full length Halloween video to make, I did do headswaps because Cherilyn must ALWAYS be in the most elegant gowns. I really wanted to change the colors to red and black but time is my enemy.
