The Legend of Dragoon

Dart, Lavitz, Shana, and Rose head through the Marshlands and Villude Volcano toward the Dragon's Nest.
Now that we have access to Dragoon abilities, I'll go over a few things about them.
First, you'll notice now when Dart and Rose attacks, they gain SP for each attack you land. This is how you raise your Dragoon meter. Once the meter is full you get access to the Dragoon command which will transform that character into a Dragoon.
While in Dragoon form you only have two options: Attack and Dragon Magic. Magic doesn't require any extra inputs to use, however Attack will let you use Dragoon Additions which function differently than normal ones.
When you select attack you will get a circular meter with a light in the center, and when you hit X the light will begin to trace the circle. In order to attack you will need to hit X when the light hits the line at the top-center of the circle which it will go around again but getting a little faster with each press.
You can get a total of five hits in.
Each time you attack, or use magic your Dragoon Meter will deplete by one, and when it hits zero you will revert back to normal. As you use your additions and gain SP you will also level your Dragoon Level (you will get the "experience" from additions even if your Dragoon meter is maxed), which will also give you more turns to stay in your Dragoon Form.
Other than an attack on another of the Knighthood's forts, the marshlands aren't too eventful. However make sure you don't choose to retreat when going through it, otherwise you'll have to do everything in that segment over again.
Once at the Volcano, Fire Bird will show up and cause some trouble, but the party manages to escape it, further in, however, Shana runs off and we are forced to fight the first boss of this area; the Virage.
This boss is split into three parts: Head, Body, and Arm. The arm and Head are the only ones you should focus on. The arm will go down in a few hits, but it will be regenerated after so many turns. The Head has a very strong beam attack it will use on you that can also inflict Fear. Also it has a very annoying scream attack that will inflict different status effects on the entire party, so keep those Purifiers handy.
After the battle continue on where we find a man falling off the ledge. After helping him out he gives us a very nifty Sapphire Pin which will absorb MP from any magic type attack that whoever is wearing the pin is hit with. Continue on and Fire Bird shows up again and leaves us no option but to fight it.
This fight isn't as difficult as the last, thankfully, since we don't have to deal with status effects.The only attack you should have to worry about is when Fire Bird ducks into the lava and comes back with orbs of fire. When this happens try to take out the orbs quickly otherwise Fire Bird will use a very strong attack with them (he gets a two-turn round in which he hits me with the full brunt of the attack in this video). A good way to deal with that is to toss a Detonate Rock at it when he summons them.
After the fight, in the next area we find Dabas again who kindly sells us items, so be sure to restock. Once you're done we finally make our way out of the volcano.
In the next segment we'll be heading on to the Dragon's Nest.
