RetroPlay: Video Game Walkthroughs
Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection
by: OmegaSion
The group travels on, deeper into the lunar depths.
Note: I had to re-record this video because my initial recording had a really bad audio sync problem. Sadly though I didn't realize this until I had already saved my game so all the chests along the way are already opened. I also had to use to editing to re-add the conversation between Kain and Cecil to the video, which thankfully didn't have any music playing in the background. I apologize for this, and will list the contents of the chests below.
Here are the contents of the chests in the order I go to them in the video:
10th Floor: Remedy, Phoenix Down, X-Potion, and Black Garb.
11th Floor: Cottage, Silver Hourglass, and Crystal Mail.
12th Floor: Ribbon, Dry Ether, X-Potion.
We start running into my least favorite enemy in the game in this section; Death Masks, and by the 13th floor we run into Proto Death Mask which hits quite a bit harder. It's not their difficulty that I dislike about them, but the fact that they take forever to defeat thanks to the way spell animations work with Reflect, namely Holy which plays it's animation twice.
Regardless, take care when fighting these things as they can deal some hefty damage to you.
Once we make our way to the 13th floor we have another crystal room to take care of. There's also a scene between Kain and Cecil when we rest at the save point. Be sure to keep tabs on your items, and if you are running low use the elevator to go back to the Depths B1 to restock, which you shouldn't have any issues doing so since there's not really much to spend Gil on, so you should have quite a decent supply of it.
In the next segment we'll be taking on the crystals in the 13th floor.
