when I was playing Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen as a kid, I always ran into this guy and fantasized about the possible things he could give out stickers for. I thought he would talk to me about shinies, or legendaries, or the lore of the region but I never really got too far with him. The actual answer is not so romantic, but it is really cool to me in a different way. They filled every corner of these beautiful games with things to do and people to congratulate you for it.
