when I was playing Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver as a kid I was very struck by the villains in the story. Not because the plot was particularly amazing or anything, but that the characters and style was so striking. They all exude a certain style, even the grunts! It's really fun and intriguing now to learn about the evolution of these characters, and how much development happened in the background- across three separate games even. It's just so cool. cooler than mudkip even. this one's a droomish classic for all the heracross, vileplume, and houndoom fans out there
