My relationship for the Harry Potter 1 (PC) Glitchless category has been a long and rocky one going from a category I used to absolutely loathe to now my favorite category that this game has to offer. I used to prefer Any% over Glitchless because I kind of felt like Glitchless was a bit boring of a category. You can't brightness boost, you can wallwalk or do any of the big glitches that make the run fun so it's basically just a fast casual playthrough and you play through the game normally which is naturally just very boring.
Or so I thought! Because boy this category has some incredibly tricks up it's sleeve. The fact that the usual speedrun blanket solution of "just boost up there" is banned in this run made it so people had to get very creative coming up with all kinds of alternative strats to do things quickly. And they just have sooo much more variety and are just interesting to look at then a simple boost. A ton of skips in this have become some of my favorites in all of Harry Potter Speedrunning and it's just super cool that we have a category to show them off in!
And on top of that we are of course doing this run on the amazing Low Cutscene Client made by BoostingMantis. Originally made for a touurnament to remove all the boring parts of runners just waiting for Cutscenes to resolve it has now gotten it's own leaderboard and a bunch of seperate categories so people can speedrun Harry Potter 1 (PC) without having to worry about all the waiting and lengthy parts. Cuts the runtime down by a lot and just makes this an even more fun and fast paced experience in general, I hope you are going to enjoy watching my runs of this category on here as well!
