On May 5th, 2019, Union Pacific's highly anticipated "Great Race to Ogden" departed from Cheyenne, Wyoming. At the helm of the special passenger car train was "Big Boy" #4014, brought back to service after nearly 60 years. Additional power and assistance behind the 4014 was given by Union Pacific Northern #844. This provided for a very unique and rare opportunity to have a steam locomotive double-header.

I had the opportunity to chase for 2 days, from Cheyenne to Table Rock, Wyoming. While I was focused on mainly taking photos of the historic occasion, I did set up my video camera at some of the locations during the chase. It was a very fun few days in the Wyoming area, so much more to explore and very scenic! I look forward to returning to this area in the future.
