On Saturday November 5th, 2022, the Reading and Northern 425 steam locomotive ran on an autumn excursion between Reading Outer Station and Jim Thorpe. The 1928 built 4-6-2 "Pacific" steam locomotive was the first steam locomotive on the Reading and Blue Mountain Railway, entering service in 1984.

Since this video was made, the 425 has been out of service, due to its mandatory Federal Railroad Administration 1,472-day inspection and overhaul.
