Running 86 miles between Stockton and San Jose, the Altamont Corridor/Commuter Express (ACE) provides an important link for Silicon Valley commuters. Four round trips are offered on Monday to Friday, with two round trips offered on Weekends, catering to mainly peak commuting hours. Equipment for the ACE trains include Bombardier Bi-Level Coach & Cabcars, and six F40PH-3C locomotives. These locomotives are slowly being supplemented by Siemens SC-44 Chargers.
