Keep an eye on the stamina meter.

This is something I noticed while messing around with the unpatched PS4-version of The Evil Within just now. I'm not sure if it's new or not, but to my knowledge something like this isn't used in the current speedruns, at least.

Basically, if your lantern is lit, your hands are empty and you are starting a sprint from a crouch, Sebastian can sprint a few steps without losing any stamina. This can be done repeatedly to keep moving a bit faster than normal running without losing stamina.

The input for doing this is to basically run with hands empty and lantern lit, then press "crouch" immediately followed by "sprint". You should press "sprint" as lightly as possible and let go of the button immediately, or else you may start losing a bit of stamina. But done optimally, you will gain stamina while doing this movement instead.

Doing it too fast will cause Sebastian to crouch, sabotaging the quick movement, so you got to keep a bit of a break between each time you do it.
