With our gates being during the lockdown, Taronga Zoo Sydney has been left with surplus food that was ready for our guests to enjoy! 🍅🥕🍔

Rather than let it go to waste, we teamed up with the incredible guys at @OzHarvest to donate it to people in need. ☺️

We’ve donated over 300kg of food which will be divvied up to sites across NSW including hospitals and refuges.

Food waste accounts for more than 5% of Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions so it’s really important that we all do our bit to protect the planet! 🌏
