Scurry into Taronga Zoo Sydney these school holidays and visit our all-female meerkat mob in the African Savannah.

Native to the deserts and grasslands of southern Africa, meerkats are highly social animals that live in close-knit groups called mobs.
Working together to keep watch for danger, you'll often spot them taking turns on sentry duty, digging tunnels, or soaking up the winter sunshine.
