Day 7
We decided to go back to Toad Town to see if Merlon knew where to go next. Twink found us as soon as we arrived. He told us that the next Star Spirit is being held in Dry Dry Ruins at Dry Dry Desert. He doesn't know where the desert is though. I asked him how he found out and he said that Peach found a secret passage out of her room. They found Bowser's diary lying around and that's how they found out about the desert.
Sadly, Bowser walked in on them before they could find out any more. Twink assured me that Peach is unharmed, but I'm still worried about her. I thanked Twink and told him to return if he finds any more information. I also told him not to leave Peach's side unless he was certain she was safe. Twink flew away.
Goombario mentioned that there was a train station in the south part of town. It only went to Mt. Rugged but that was close to Dry Dry Desert. On our way there, Kooper accidentally tripped over a bub-ulb. He wasn't angry at Kooper. If anything, he was glad that he was pulled out. He gave us a magical seed. I'll have to give it to Minh T. next time I see her. She'll take good care of it.
We got our tickets and boarded the train after Bombette cleared a boulder off the tracks. Mt. Rugged was a little steep, but it shouldn't be too bad of a hike. Goombario's map has been a big help.
I bumped into the mailman, Parakarry, as we were exploring the mountain though. He apologized and said that he was looking for a letter he dropped. He asked if we could look for it since his job is on the line if he loses any letters. I told him we'd start looking. Parakarry can't have dropped it too far from here.
