Mario's Journal:
Day 3
The path to Toad Town was not easy. Bowser must've sent goombas all over the path to stop me. It didn't help that we ran into a red and blue goomba who worked for someone called King Goomba. Goombario told me he's never heard of King Goomba. I suspect one of Bowser's underlings was allowed to have one wish granted.
Goombario said that we were getting close to a bridge, but in place of a bridge was a tall fortress. King Goomba was there. The red and blue goombas didn't take too kindly to us teaching them a lesson.
We fought King Goomba. Goombario had the idea to take out all three at once. I distracted them all while Goombario smacked a nearby tree, unleashing the thorns from above onto all of them. I also found the switch that destroyed the fortress and brought the bridge back to where it was before.
The Toads in Toad Town were happy to see I was ok. One of them told me that Luigi and some others managed to escape the castle in time. I took the pipe back to my home and Luigi was right there. He was happy to see me, but I think he might be a little jealous of Goombario getting to come on the adventure with me.
I offered for Luigi to come with, but he insisted that he stay at the house and make sure it stays secure. That seems fair enough, but still. I feel a little bad leaving him out of this one.
Goombario and I set out for Shooting Star Summit. It pained me to see the crater where the castle once stood. Some Toads let me know that they couldn't find anything that could lead to Bowser's castle in the crater. Nothing left to do except go to Shooting Star Summit.
All seven Star Spirits waited for me at the top of the summit. Eldstar was the one who summoned me. The Star Spirits told me that Bowser had stolen the Star Rod from Star Haven and they were powerless to stop him. They are all in separate locations being guarded by Bowser's minions. They told me that if I am to stop Bowser, I need all of their power.
The Star Spirits vanished after that. I wish they would've told me where to start looking for them. I don't know where to start.
