Day 12
I found the monster (a giant slimy eel), but when I beat it...something it said stuck with me. It said that I was part of the dream. I'm not sure what happened after that since my vision flashed briefly. I suddenly felt cold all over. Then I was back in the Catfish's Maw.
Something is off about Koholint. I must leave soon. I went into the next room and found the Wind Marimba. The voice told me that I have to go to the shrine. I don't think it meant the Dream Shrine as there wasn't anything there. I stopped at Animal Village in my travels and asked Marin about the shrine. She said that there was a place just north of Animal Village called the Face Shrine. She doesn't know what's there since that place is forbidden to the islanders.
If the shrine is forbidden, why does the voice want me to go there? I decided to travel back to Mabe Village to pick up more supplies. If the Face Shrine is forbidden, I'll have to be more prepared. On my way there, I ran into a place called the Signpost Maze. I followed the maze and it led me to a cave. There was a giant frog king with two other frogs inside.
The frog king called himself Mamu. He wanted to sing for me. I had to pay him a lot of money, but I was curious about the song. The song seemed to liven up everything around us. It stuck with me. I'm sure I could play it on the ocarina without issue. Maybe this song will come in handy.
